Compassionate MedleyI arranged and recorded a compassionate medley of three songs that are
personally meaningful to me and portray what I feel each component of compassion is: Accepting compassion You Raise Me Up in the style of Josh Groban Giving compassion Fall on Me, as performed by Andrea Bocelli Compassion to self Come As You Are in the style of Nathan Pacheco Ultimately, I believe compassion is Christlike love. Once we are transformed through His love, we can share that love with others, and together we can come closer to Christ and find hope in the journey ahead. This medley’s message progresses from alternately leaning on others and lifting them up, to ultimately finding the greatest compassion of all from the Savior Himself by allowing Him to change us and raise us up into more than we can be on our own. Perfection is something I think we all struggle with, and the commandment to be perfect requires us to be patient and compassionate with ourselves and with others. This is why I ended the song with Come As You Are, because as we come to Him just as we are, in faith and our best efforts, we are enough. I hope you enjoy the song! Each voice you hear is mine. |
